I am founder and creative director of Society HAE. We use digital media and events as a platform to celebrate artists and the goodness they create worldwide. Our mantra is: Change The World! Create Something.
Society HAE puts forth initiatives that provide a platform for emerging artists, while at the same time creating opportunities for the community at large to have access to and experience art of various mediums. Two such initiatives are Afrika21 and Tour de PoP (TdP).
AFRIKA21
Society HAE conceptualized AFRIKA21 with the goal of creating a platform to introduce Africa's emerging creative thinkers in the fields of music and arts & culture. Afrika21 will give audiences a first hand look at 21st century contemporary African music and culture, and open up a new dialogue about Africa. The first by product of this initiative was the AFRIKA21 MIXTAPE PROJECT which serves as an opportunity to celebrate Africaʼs next wave of musicians who are re-defining African music and the continent in general. Listen to the mixtape here: http://www.societyhae.com/page/afrika21-mixtape. In addition to the mixtape project we produce events and conversations/panels that highlight the renaissance taking place on the continent and raise the profile of people and organizations working toward farming a new vision of Africa in the 21st century.
