Alfredo Cramerotti

Alfredo Cramerotti (1967) is a writer, curator and artist based in the UK.

His cultural practice explores the relationship between reality and representation across a variety of media and collaborations such as TV, radio, publishing, internet, media festivals, writing and exhibition curating.

Among his recent research and curatorial activity:

Director, Mostyn, Wales.
Mostyn is the largest publicly funded contemporary art gallery in Wales. The gallery is a member of the Plus Tate partnership of 18 leading museums and galleries with shared aspirations, with Tate, to inspire people about art and deepen engagement in modern and contemporary art. It also has a long-term partnership with Artes Mundi, the UKʼs largest art prize.
Mostynʼs award-winning new building (RIBA Gold Medal, among others) was opened in May 2010.

Co-Curator, Manifesta 8 European biennial of contemporary art (2009-2011); Senior Curator, QUAD Derby (2008-2011), co-Curator, CPS Chamber of Public Secrets (2004-present) and co-Director, AGM Culture roaming curatorial agency (2003-present); Editor of the Critical Photography book series by Intellect Books.

Recent publications include the book Aesthetic Journalism: How to inform without informing (2009) and Unmapping the City: Perspectives of Flatness (2010).
