Lara Koseff is a writer, researcher and arts administrator living in Johannesburg. She has a BA Fine Arts and a MA in Heritage studies from the University of the Witwatersrand. In her research she has dealt with how museums, specifically the District Six Museum in Cape Town, are capable of going beyond what the role of such an institution is and has been perceived to be. In a broader context she is interested in synergies between social transformation and the production and presentation of contemporary visual arts and heritage memorialisation in African cities. She currently works at the Goodman Gallery in Johannesburg.
