p.D. casely-hayford

P.D. Casely-Hayford has worked across all platforms of creativity, including creative writing, publishing, editing, writing and directing in performing arts, and in the production of new media, and film-theatre hybrid documentaries and poetry films.

Based in Australia, she holds a Master of Arts (Research) Creative Writing. She us currently undertaking a Phd which is exploring the implications for black women storytellers adapting their work to new media formats. She works as a freelance writer, and soundscape artist and digital projection artist. Recent books are "Jembe, the Journey Home" - book I of the Kembrekki Trilogy, and "When Freedom Kissed Her" poetry publication. After years of extensive travel and cultural interchanges, Ghana, the home of her family and heritage, remains a central inspiration for P.D. Casely-Hayford.

She welcomes opportunities for on-line or on site collaboration with other creative practitioners.
