Born in Addis Ababa, Emanuel Tegene was a student for the Ale School of Fine Art and Design but left the school for an opportunity to live in Israel. Prior to his departure he worked as a cartoonist for Salon Ethiopia newspaper. Here in his first exhibition, Emanuel’s work is inspired by his eclectic view on his surroundings and most of his work is a reflection of both society and personal encounters. In Israel he worked for two years for Bel Technology. He currently lives and works in Addis Ababa.
