Richard Elekwa

I am very unassuming and open to new ideas and the sharing of same. Growing up in a rural setting in Nigeria built me up with a rich store of African culture and influence that inspires my works. I have developed myself in several media, including video in which I have received awards. My interest in writing has also built my communication skills in English, organizational abilities and potentials for innovation and independent work. My engagement of locally found media in my work, that i process using everyday gestures and techniques, has helped to sharpen my sensibility for the environment. Also, my flair for languages has seen my lingual faculty enlarged with three languages; English, French and Swahili.
