Born 8th June 1979 in Lagos, Nigeria, Adeniyi Damilare Odeleye studied Fine Art and Graphic Design at the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos between 2000 and 2005 after leaving secondary school in 1997. He was curator of the Art & Design Students’ Association of the Yaba College of Technology, 2004/2005 executive council and he curated the exhibition “Where The Journey Ends and Begins” held at the corridors of the Yusuf Grillo auditorium, Yaba College of Technology, Lagos in 2005. A trained photographer, painter and graphic designer, he is also a cartoonist and illustrator and he worked in that capacity with now defunct Nigerian newspaper daily, The Comet from 2002 to 2004. In 2005, after graduating from college with a Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design, he joined Profolab Imaging, a digital photo laboratory in Lagos where he worked as a digital photo editor and lab attendant while also doubling as trainee and assistant to co founder of Profolab Imaging, highly respected Nigerian photographer Don Barber. Since February 2007 he has been a full time studio artist living and working in Lagos.
His work has been exhibited both within and outside Nigeria.
