Shaheera Asante

Shaheera Asante is a former BBC presenter. She has worked extensively in both television and radio as a presenter, writer and executive producer in the United Kingdom, Canada and Japan.

She has also worked as a freelance Creative Director and Curator on Contemporary African art projects ( Forward Africa, Ghana 50, Africa 05) for both The British Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum London.

With a passion for all creative visual, audio and new media industries, Shaheera is an advocate for further expansion, exposure and recognition of contemporary African artists and the development of the creative and new media industries in Africa.

Shaheera is currently developing with international partners, an internet project to promote Sub Saharan Africa's creative and new media industries.
