Gillian Evans is a project developer. She is of American origin, but spent her childhood bouncing between South Africa, Jamaica and the US.
She has worked in Kinshasa, the DRC, conducting marketing, monitoring and evaluations of a Behavior Change Communication platform. The platform used music and popular culture media to create positive role models, influencing social norms. Gillian also recently worked with a sustainable textile and design studio in Pondicherry, South India. As a project director there, she took a line of ethically produced fashion to Paris Fashion week.
Gillian’s education includes a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from Virginia Commonwealth University, in the US. A Masters Degree in Global Communication and Civil Society Development from American University, Paris France.
Her personal interests are in working towards more environmental and sustainable development, product design, painting and illustration. She is currently working on illustrating a children's book.
