Candice Allison


Currently based in Cape Town as Curator at The New Church, South Africa's first privately owned contemporary art museum.

Previously, she worked as Project Manager/Curator for Kingston University/The Design School's Project Kingston Africa, and curated independent exhibitions for Knoll International's contribution to London Design Festival 2012, the British Council's International Architecture and Design Showcase 2012 and the experimental gallery So Far, the Future for London Festival of Architecture 2012. Before relocating to Cape Town she completed a two-month curatorial residency at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe, and coordinated Zimbabwe's first Curatorial Forum and Workshop in February 2013.

She holds a Masters with Distinction in Curating Contemporary Design from Kingston University, London taught in partnership with the Design Museum, and a BA Honours Visual Studies in History of Art, Visual Communication and English Literature from the University of Pretoria.
