what made you so interested in urban african, many people have that mentality that urban life is more intresting in the state

Hi Phozi, I am a bit confused by your question. If anything most of the attention to Africa has traditionally been on the rural areas and the villages. Until recently very little was said about Urban Africa because it was almost as if acknowledging that there were vibrant and modern cities across the continent, undermined the rosie image people had of a place where everone still ran around in grass skirts and lived in mud huts.
(I do hope you realize i have exaggerated here for the sake of making a point).
