Most of what I do revolves around the arts. I spend a large amount of time with artists, writing about art or organizing the next exhibition. I am currently working on building an artist-in-residence center, Zoma Contemporary Art Center, using a combination of traditional and modern construction methods and materials. Living and working in Ethiopia, where not everything is readily available, has taught me to find a creative solution for every obsticle. I try to use art as a catalist for solving environmental and social problems. To bring together the deciplines of art, anthropology and architecture to find simple and durable solutions is my lifetime commitment.
