Irish Museum of Modern Art

The National Cultural Institution for Modern and Contemporary Art in Ireland

The Irish Museum of Modern Art exhibits works from leading international artists, predominantly in solo exhibitions. It also regularly includes bodies of work from its own Collection and its Education and Community Department. It also creates more widespread access to art and artists through its Studio and National programmes. Situated in the City of Dublin in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, the finest 17th-century building in Ireland, based on Les Invalides in Paris with a formal facade and a huge elegant cobbled courtyard. In 2011 it will be 20 years old.
