In terms of art, if I were to "compartmentalise" myself within the western concepts of art movements I would like to say that I fall between a modern/conceptual artist - perhaps a bit controvertial for my learned friends - but I believe art works should be as thoughtfully provocative as it should be aesthetically pleasing - the one should not outdo the other... in my humble opinion of course...
Stepping away from such compartments, I in fact, do not favour art schooling of any kind. In fact, I find them to be a hindrance of this natural process.
Indeed, I am constantly seeking to break down all conditioned and innate thoughts, forms, logic - all representational conceptions and imagery, which block the creative process of 'true' artistic expression. A tall order, yes, but all the more interesting an experience in my attempts to reach it - and I'm just beginning.

a humble release to the late Gebre Kirstos Desta -
................................. Half jokes do not become me; Let me die, die in one-hunderth of a second; Falling into endless sleep like corpses do, So make way, broad way for me, that I may journey, With light speed, from end to end, past universes and suns, Soon a sun-to-be; brilliant, illuminating luminary clear, Like the firmaments of God, let me be, The million flames that set Hell ablaze, A molten lava, its ashes, flood, floods of fire, intense, a million-, nay, a billion-fold, Make way, broad way for me, so I may be amdist the darkness , In black, pitch-black, charcoaled sooty blackness, At that infintie vacuum where time is nothing, ... let me hover, watching. For me the stars are playful pebbles, And I, a bit of earth, writing her history on the black paper of night skies, I wonder through galaxies, And ransack the heavens, Blasting through bolted gates, Until silence is rudely awakened, And the nonexistant comes to life, With huge strides I travel, From earth to moon to star, from world to world, Travelling, Creating, Making the sun my home, Let me burn a million-, nay a billion fold more than flames of hell, make way then, make me a broad way … (translated by Robel Kassa & Mitiku Adieu, and dabbled a bit by myself)
