Voti Thebe is Regional Director at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. As an artist, he has contributed immensely to raising the profile of contemporary Zimbabwean art. He featured in “Visions of Zimbabwe” (Manchester Art Gallery, 2004), a groundbreaking exhibition curated by Raphael Chikukwa.
His work has been exhibited at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe Harare and Bulawayo, Delta Gallery in Harare, and in “Siyaphamili 2000”, as part of Harare International Festival of the Arts (2000). He has also taken part in a number of exhibitions in Zimbabwe, Botswana, South Africa, Zambia, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, USA, Canada and Germany.
Voti Thebe was part of the Pachipamwe Workshop (1992) also attended by Turner Prize winner British artist Chris Ofili.
