Through my pictures I confront a journalistic approach with an artistic, experimental approach of photography.
My work
Two dimensions are to be distinguished: on the one hand the journalistic approach and on the other hand the artistic and rather experimental approach.
The journalistic dimension is incarnated in my work on the daily life of Kinshasa in the district where I grew up. And more particularly on the difficulties of life for its inhabitants with a specific attention to the problems of transport and circulation.
My artistic approach relates to the medium itself: what is photography, which are its limits and what is represented?
