EMERGENCY INDEX - Call for submissions

Emergency INDEX is now accepting submissions of performance documentation for its forthcoming volume.

INDEX is an annual print publication of performance documented in the words of its creators. It provides a cutting-edge view of the ways in which performance is used in dance, theater, poetry, music, visual art, political activism, scientific research, advertising, terrorism, and elsewhere. INDEX is radically inclusive, rigorously edited, and thoroughly indexed. If you call what you make performance, you can submit a description of a project made in 2012 for the next volume. Please see guidelines at Deadline for contributions is December 31st, 2012.

The inaugural volume of Emergency INDEX was published in March 2012. It includes 249 performances from 27 different countries and a comprehensive index of key terms. It is available at discerning bookstores, Small Press Distribution, Unbound and directly from the publisher at Check out our facebook page for performance-related news, discussions, and opportunities.
