MalalaAfrica rallies in force at the Rencontres d’Arles, the world’s most important photography encounters with a private slide show of established photographers and new talents from the Continent and the Diaspora.
On the Roof – Slide Show Party proposes festival-goers a feast for the eyes, promising a visual and sound journey through a most varied selection of images, photographic practices and genres.
Twelve photographers were selected by Elise Atangana, Yves Chatap and Christine Eyene, a Cameroonian trio of art professionals based between Paris and London.
Photographers featured include Malala Andrialavidrazana, Steve Bauras, Alexis Peskine, Raymond Dakoua, François-Xavier Gbre, Helene Jayet, N’Krumah Lawson Daku, Moeketsi Moticoe, Aida Muluneh, Paul Sika, Antoine Tempe, Max Venite, and video artist Breeze Yoko.
On the Roof – Slide Show Party aims to address the under-representation of African practitioners at this major photography festival and offers to showcase new work from photographers that define today’s and tomorrow’s trends.
